Sarah Sypris

Coordinator

Sarah Sypris is a Project Coordinator with Kusoma International, working to advance educational standards among Kuria youth under a fellowship from the Davis Projects for Peace Foundation. She studies biochemistry and math at the University of California, San Diego, where she additionally intends on attending Medical School. Her particular area of focus is women's and children's health issues. She has previously worked as a language instructor and currently is incorporating the study of Swahili language and culture into her academic curriculum. She is excited to be facilitating, in joint collaboration with Enzo Haussecker, the Summer 2011 Mohochi Scholar's Workshop as well as engaging with Kusoma International in the construction of a local library and in the selection of the next two Mohochi Scholarship recipients. She is honored to serve in this capacity and hopes to continue her involvement with this unique and dynamic organization after the project is complete.

Enzo Haussecker

Coordinator

Enzo Haussecker is a Project Coordinator with Kusoma International. He is working to advance educational standards among Kuria youth under a fellowship from the Davis Projects for Peace Foundation. Enzo's background is in math and science education. Enzo studies Applied Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego. He has previously worked as a research assistant for the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, as an educational software developer for Monadic Systems, and as an instructional assistant at Foothill College.

Tristan Haussecker

Coordinator

Tristan Haussecker is a project coordinator with Kusoma International - Laurenti Mohochi Educational Foundation. He is currently an undergraduate student at the University of California at Los Angeles, studying German and Accounting. Throughout his education he has held internship positions at NASA Ames Research Center, Three Bridge Wealth Advisors, and Morgan Stanley. Tristan contributes to our mission by tracking down unique opportunities for growth, ranging from funded research initiatives to fundraising dinners. Going forward he plans on establishing large scale projects which he hopes will lead to the construction of a multipurpose educational center.
